From the beginning of our venture, we have been searching for the right local charity to align with our brand, in an effort to give back to our community. We wanted a meaningful cause to support, with immediate impact on our local community. When we started thinking about the various charitable causes which we wanted to support, we realized that women's issues, such as safe housing, violence prevention and counselling programs and family support initiatives, were the issues that are most important to us.  

We are very excited to announce that Flax Sleep has partnered with local non-profit Atira Women's Resource Society. Atira is a natural fit for us, with an even greater mission. Based in British Columbia, the Atira Women's Resource Society is dedicated to supporting women and children affected by violence by offering safe and supportive housing and delivering education and advocacy aimed at ending all forms of gendered violence. Atira's programs are accessible to anyone who identifies and lives full time as a woman, and the organization's core values are centered around inclusive feminism, harm reduction, and innovation.

 Flax Sleep will be donating all returned goods in good condition, as well as a portion of sales, to Atira. We believe that everyone deserves #ASafePlacetoSleep and are looking forward to helping Atira achieve its vision of a world where women and girls have the right to participate fully and effectively in all of the decisions that affect their lives.
